Self-assessment tools
Our services help agribusinesses assess in depth the efficiency of production processes, identify opportunities for more sustainable resource management, and strengthen traceability throughout the supply chain.
Thanks to an integrated approach, it is possible to combine product quality, environmental sustainability and social responsibility, promoting sound development that respects the territory. We support food system companies in monitoring the environmental and social impact of their activities, defining sustainable strategies and adopting innovative practices, enhancing the link with the territory and meeting consumer expectations for transparent and responsible products.
With this goal in mind, the Food Circularity Check was born, a tool that investigates the main themes of the circular economy in a systemic way.

Food Circularity CheckFood system circularity self-assessment tool
The Food Circularity Check tool stems from the Circular Economy For Wine project (funded in 2023/2024 by PNRR funds, Proof of Concept call NODES – Northwest Digital And Sustainable), developed by the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo (UNISG), and proposes an updated version of the UNI/TS 11820 certification “Measuring Circularity – Methods and Indicators for Measuring Circular Processes in Organizations” as it is supplemented with indicators that improve its accessibility, understanding and broaden its horizons, making it possible to plan more punctually the actions necessary to comply with the required standards. In particular, indicators related to social sustainability have been included, completing the picture of the company, adding to the aspects related to environmental and economic sustainability, already present in the original certification.
Do you want to know if you can obtain the UNI/TS 11820 certification that measures your company’s level of circularity? Fill out the questionnaire to find out if you are already ready or if you need to go deeper in some aspect.
The result obtained will give you a clear indication of your company’s level of maturity in terms of the circular economy. If you would like to strengthen the path your company has taken toward UNI/TS 11820 certification, we suggest you check with RINA, a multinational group specializing in testing, inspection, certification and engineering solutions in a wide range of markets, and a partner of the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo.
