On the other hand, there are also many<strong> opportunities to create a circular impact<\/strong>. This episode in Malm\u00f6, the host city for Eurovision in 2024 hosts <strong>Veronika Hoffmann, Malm\u00f6&#8217;s sustainability coordinator<\/strong>, and explores how the city has applied circular economy principles in <strong>planning this <\/strong>internationally renowned <strong>event. <\/strong>One of the focal points of the discussion is the <strong>choice of resources<\/strong> for infrastructure construction and decorations. Indeed, in the name of sustainability and circular economy, efforts were made to <strong>reduce imported materials<\/strong> as much as <strong>possible<\/strong> and thus use the city&#8217;s own resources. In cases where the amount must be used, the materials purchased must <strong>meet environmental and social canons<\/strong>. In terms of food, Hoffmann specifies that in Malm\u00f6 it is common to <strong>support small food businesses<\/strong>; therefore, it is easy to find high-quality, environmentally friendly food. This was <strong>one of the key factors in choosing the venue<\/strong> for Eurovision in 2024, as more and more people to this day are moving toward a more plant-based or otherwise environmentally,
