Description
Toast Brewing is a British company founded in 2016 that strives to reduce food waste by turning unsold bread into craft beer. The company has replaced some of the barley malt with bread salvaged from bakeries and supermarkets.
Toast Brewing’s brewing process involves collecting unsold bread, which would otherwise have been thrown away, and turning it into croutons (into croutons). These croutons are then blended with other traditional brewing ingredients, such as water, barley malt, hops, and yeast, to create a range of unique and sustainable beers.
Toast Brewing is not only committed to reducing food waste, but also to raising awareness of the importance of sustainability and environmental responsibility in the food and brewing industries. The company works with bakeries, supermarkets, and other partners to collect unsold bread and promote conscious consumption practices. In addition, part of their profits go to charities for environmental organizations.
Toast Brewing represents an example of a social enterprise that combines innovation in brewing with the goal of addressing food waste and promoting a more sustainable lifestyle.
