Another way to avoid overspending, producing e-waste, and filling drawers with appliances you don’t use is to share them. The so-called “Sharing Economy,” which is already well established in the context of urban transportation, is also applicable in the kitchen through the simple act of buying small appliances-for example, the machine for making ice cream-along with a neighbor, friend or relative. By doing so, you will save money by equally allowing yourself the opportunity to produce what you want at home, but at the same time, you will help decrease your impact in terms of resource consumption and waste generation.
