The activities carried out within the Giulia Natta Innovation Center in Giussago between Milan and Pavia describe his passion for the environment and the skills he has acquired throughout his career, which have led him to create an innovative business model capable of responding to the problems facing the world in terms of population growth, urbanization, pollution, natural resource scarcity, biodiversity, supply chain efficiency, food quality and health, and circularity. A business model that aggregates technologies, innovations and skills, for the sustainability of the entire food supply chain, “from field to table and back to field” with the mission of redesigning urban and rural suburbs according to the needs of the city, the environment and people.
Since January 2016, he has been Founder & CEO of Neoruralehub Srl, CEO of Neorurale Group, President of Innovenergy Srl, Board Member of Crickeat Srl and Youfarmers Srl, Vice President of Cisambiente and Founding Member of theFoundation Rise, Assoambiente, ELO (European Land Owner Association) and member of Confindustria Life Sciences Steering Group and Board Member si Snam SpA. Since April 2022 he has been Founder and CEO of SIMBIOSI Srl in which the corporate partnership with Tamburi Investment Partners is operational.
“The future depends on food production and therefore on agriculture. For this we need to restore fertility to soils without chemical additions.” This, in summary, is his philosophy: “In the next few years, according to the FAO, there will be more than 10 billion people on the planet. When we consider that 33 percent of arable soils already today are in an advanced stage of degradation and that we will need 60 percent more food to feed the world’s population by 2050, the problems we will face in producing enough food for the entire population are simply dramatic.”
Its experience, patents and know-how are available to be disseminated and exported as a model in action in new contexts and new geographies, with the goal of enabling everyone to quickly travel the road to circular sustainability and contribute to its development by implementing distributed systems owned by distributed stakeholders for overall well-being.
