Whenever possible, enhance household waste from food through home composting, which can prove to be an important resource for growing vegetables and plants at home. If you live in a small space, you can look for alternatives to composting-which can sometimes require significant space-such as vermicomposting, which can be kept even on the balcony, or you can participate in shared/collective composting (Harris, 2021) if you live in areas of the city where this service is present.
