Sam is the son of the president of Capital City, a fictional place much like the United States. On a field trip with the scouts, he gets lost in the wilderness due to his poor sense of direction and his cell phone, which does not show him the straight path to his home. It is at this point that Sam meets Nora and Kim, two siblings living in a rural village, who warn him of the terrible ecological disaster that could befall their planet.

The three boys, aware of the seriousness of the situation, then decide to unite to try to save the world not only from global warming, but also from man-made threats, including the major problem of food waste and litter. In fact, the latter, with the aim of remedying environmental problems, used cold bombs, which instead of solving the problems, caused irrepressible environmental consequences.

Interesting, then, is the contrast between the wisdom of archaic civilization and the wickedness of the contemporary world, as well as between the innate good sense of children and the irresponsibility of adults, whose actions are leading the planet toward destruction.
