Giano Lai and Francesca Manunta are a couple from Turin who spend their free time exploring the world of food. They have been documenting this passion through their YouTube channel since 2018.
The example video is intended to be a reportage of thegastronomic and scenic experience immersed in the heart of the Dolomites that the San Brite restaurant offers. Giano and Francesca tell about how they were invited to Cortina by Riccardo Gaspari and Ludovica Rubbini, organizers of theGenesis event and owners of the “San Brite” restaurant, to live and tell about theexperience of a brigade that works not only in a starry environment, but is committed to the search for alternative ways to preserve the territory and a sustainable philosophy.
The experience in the Dolomites lasts three days where, amid mountain views, they witness moments of conviviality and the presentation of excellent recipes. Right from the start in the video, theEl Brite de Larieto farmhouse is shown, where Giano and Francesca arrive in the early morning hours and watch the cows return to the barn for milking. Next, one of the guys in the brigade will show theSan Brite vegetable garden, the pride of the restaurant: here there are many varieties of crops, but the real special feature lies in the soil, which is not worked.
After a foursome dinner with multi-starred chef Bas Van Kranen and a night at the farmhouse, we are shown trekking into the mountains and a subsequent picnic lunch in the middle of the pasture. The second day of the Genesis event will end, after hours of hiking, at a farm in South Tyrol.
The last day of the event is entirely dedicated to gastronomy, starting with a four-handed lunch with two Parisian chefs, based on river fish. Several snags and hours later, which showed the brigade’s adaptability, Giano and Francesca illustrate the last chaotic dinner, again based on fish, where they rediscover forgotten cooking methods.
