The circular economy is a production and consumption model that is based on sharing, reusing, repairing, recycling and reconditioning existing products to extend their lives as much as possible.
In this regard, this book offers, on the one hand, a general overview of the concept of circular economy related to food, and on the other hand, focuses on the topic of food packaging recovery, a sector in which Italy is a leader in Europe.
In fact, the book was edited by Alessia Acampora, a researcher in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Roma Tre, and Carlo Alberto Pratesi, professor of Marketing, Innovation and Sustainability at the University of Roma Tre.
The future challenge, therefore, will be to spread values and circular thinking within companies, including ensuring sustainable packaging management.
