CIRCONOMY is a widespread and polycentric festival, just as widespread and polycentric is the circular economy. The event has the ambition of closely linking the reflection on thecircular economy to the dimension of local development: this is why it takes place in Piedmont, where significant experiences of circular economy, from green chemistry to the “zero kilometer” agri-food model, were born and have been successful, and where a valuable vocation of many territories to combine environmental sustainability and socio-economic dynamism has been manifested for years and with increasing strength. CIRCONOMÌA wants to address a wide audience and not only “insiders,” it is the “common house” where citizens, businesses, and public administrations that believe in the circular economy as a virtuous answer to environmental problems and risks, as a privileged ground for technological innovation and competitive capacity, and as a garrison of social cohesion can meet and confront each other.
