Scenario

In Italy, 50 million hectoliters of wine and must are produced each year, of which approximately 20 percent is composed of the solid residues of winemaking. Description

Caviro is one of the largest wine-producing companies in Italy. Each year it collects about 624 thousand tons of production waste, translating it into semi-finished products and raw material for agronomic, industrial, pharmaceutical and food companies. Caviro Extra is the sub-company involved in the recycling of this waste. With pomace it produces numerous distillates and musts, but it is not limited to the food sector, but also to the pharmaceutical and cosmetic sectors. In addition, the company produces renewable energy and uses it. Caviro Extra is a model that can take back, regenerate and return goods to the consumer, semi-finished products to the industrial sector, energy, biofuels and organic fertilizers to the common good, in a new and low-impact form.
